Students from John Street School, Polk Street School and Washington Street School spread holiday cheer and performed a variety of songs at the board of education meeting on Dec. 7.
Students of all ages took to the stage to sing or play instruments. They were introduced by music teachers Alexa Gottesman and Larry Rizzo from John Street, Christina Mehserle and Robert Mutarelli from Polk Street, and Jason O'Connor
Kelly Tesar from Washington Street. Students performed “Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel,” “Feliz Navidad,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Jingle Bells,” “Sevivon Sov Sov Sov” and more.
The student-performers from John Street School were Kiara Alvizares, Peyton Battista, Harper Fox, Marchella Greco, Fiona Meehan, Marian Moylan, Tony Pugliese and Kaitlin Zuniga. The student-performers from Polk Street School were Alexandra Cao, Natalie Capri, Pablo Jimenez, Alexandra Kollis, Maggie Lavin, Melba Matthews, Abigail Mauceri and Skylar Mazor. The student-performers from Washington Street School were Melannia Accardi, Isabella D’Ambrosio, Ophelia Lin, Giuliana Lombardi, Molly Milner, Melanie Osorio, Madeline Polizzi and Kenisha Vadlanudi.
