Students Stay Active During After-School Intramural Program

Fifth and sixth grade students are staying active and building teamwork skills in the second annual after-school intramural program, hosted at John Street School.

Approximately 45 students are participating in the winter session, competing in a variety of indoor sports, including floor hockey, Newcomb, Wallyball and basketball. The program promotes physical health and well-being, as well as camaraderie between the three buildings.

Due to the program’s continued success, it has expanded this year to welcome more students and additional advisers, creating even greater opportunities for participation and support. The program is led by physical education teacher Kenneth Ehrenkranz, third grade teacher Annemarie Giarrizzo, sixth grade teacher Mark Olfano, Math Lab teacher Kevin Wagner and PPDS teacher Zachary Slotnik.
