PSS Band and Chorus Shine in Festive Winter Concerts

Polk Street School’s band and chorus students delighted audiences with festive holiday music during three Winter Concert performances held on Dec. 12 and 15.

The concert opened with the fifth and sixth grade chorus, led by music teacher Christina Tuzzolo. The students celebrated the magic of the season with “Snow Globe,” highlighted the lights of the season in “Light a Candle” and concluded their set with a joyful rendition of “What Christmas Means to Me.”

Following the chorus, the band took the stage under the direction of teacher Robert Mutarelli, performing spirited selections including “Festival of Lights,” “Carol of the Bells” and “Winter Morning.”

Next, the third and fourth grade chorus filled the risers, performing “The Spirit of the Season,” “I See a Star” and the playful favorite “Oh Santa!”

The concert concluded with a holiday medley sing-along performed by the combined chorus of students in grades 3-6. After weeks of dedicated rehearsal, the chorus and band students proudly showcased their hard work for classmates, friends and family members across all three performances.
