Washington Street School’s fifth graders in Ms. Alvarado and Mr. Meliere’s class celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by exploring and sharing their own diverse cultural backgrounds. Each student researched their heritage and showcased their findings through a creative poster or PowerPoint presentation. During the Cultural Show and Tell, students proudly shared items that represented their culture, ranging from traditional foods and clothing to meaningful family artifacts, creating a vibrant celebration of diversity and community.
“We are proud of how our class is embracing diversity and building a deeper understanding of what it means to be a part of a respectful and inclusive community,” Ms. Alvarado said.
