The halls and fields of John Street, Polk Street and Washington Street schools are buzzing with excitement during the district’s annual Summer Recreation Programs.
Students are diving into a wide variety of activities, from energetic outdoor games and gym fun to creative arts and crafts, unforgettable field trips and special events. Twice a week, students get to cool off and splash around in the sprinklers, as well.
This year, the district welcomed approximately 580 students to its Summer Recreation Programs. Held Mondays through Thursdays from July 7-31, the programs are open to all district students entering kindergarten through those who had just completed sixth grade.
